Aqua Medic AquaEPS Emergency Power System (77300)

Battery/rechargeable battery not included

Safe life in your saltwater aquarium - with AquaEPS!
- The smart emergency power solution for your current pump –

A power failure can quickly become life-threatening for your fish and corals. Without constant flow, there is a lack of oxygen and nutrients - the biological processes in the aquarium are thrown out of balance.
AquaEPS (Emergency Power System) protects your aquarium reliably and fully automatically! The compact device is simply plugged between your current pump (12 or 24 volt) and the power source - in the event of a power failure, a connected 12 volt battery (motorbike battery, car battery or similar, not included) immediately takes over the power supply. This maintains the vital flow in the tank - for many hours, depending on the battery capacity.

  • protects life: prevents oxygen deficiency and maintains nutrient supply
  • versatile use: for all 12 V and 24 V pumps - several devices can also be connected up to a maximum total output of 100 w

Intelligently controlled:

  • warning signal when battery charge is below 10%
  • automatic switch-off at a critical 5% to conserve battery power
  • automatic recharging of the battery when the mains supply is restored

Advantages at a glance:

  • easy to retrofit (ready ro run)
  • compact and reliable
  • no intervention necessary in an emergency - fully automatic
  • compatible with 12 volt lead, dry or lithium batteries
  • integrated battery charger

Summary:
With AquaEPS you can keep your saltwater life safe - even if the power fails.
Ensure a continuous flow, stable water values and the preservation of your sensitive underwater world.
Take precautions now - with AquaEPS! Because failure is not an option.

Calculation of battery design (range)

Or calculate by yourself:

The required power is calculated based on the power consumption of the devices supplied by the AquaEPS in
the event of a power failure.
A 100 Ah battery would last approximately one day for a 50 w pump. To calculate this, multiply the ampere
hours (here 100 Ah) by the battery voltage (12 v) = 1,200 wh. Divide the result by the wattage of the devices
connected to the AquaEPS (here 50 w) to obtain the maximum number of operating hours: 1,200 wh:50 w =
24 hours.
