Highly concentrated solution for adding iron if there are deficits in the aquarium.
Iron is a transition metal and, as a trace element, it performs important metabolic functions, e.g. it functions as an oxygen carrier. Iron requirements of corals are lower than those of macroalgae, especially green algae. Thus, a low iron concentration can restrict the growth of algae and cyanobacteria without affecting the corals. Iron may darken and deepen the coloration of corals, enhancing fluorescent colors, especially green and red. In the sea, it occurs in very low concentration levels of 0.1-0.2 μg/l (ppb) and is barely detectable.
