With the AQUAVITAL PO4 POWDER-PILLOW TEST, you can easily and conveniently determine the phosphate content in fresh and salt water. The powdered reagent is hygienically packaged in single-use portions for one test each and guarantees accurate results with a longer shelf life than a drop test. It is incredibly easy to use. Fill the sample vessel with water, add the reagent and, after a short reaction time, read the result on the colour chart; one water parameter; one single reagent.

Elevated phosphate levels in the aquarium can lead to increased algae growth. In marine aquariums, an elevated phosphate level hinders the calcium carbonate formation of stony corals and other calcium-secreting organisms. The phosphate level should not exceed 0.4 mg/l in freshwater aquariums and 0.02 mg/l in marine aquariums.
