Fauna Marin NPO REDU PELLETS 700 g / 1000 ml (70101)

Preparation of the pellets:

• Soak the required amount of pellets in tap water for approx. 24 hours or pour boiling water over them
• and then leave them in the water for 2 hours.
• Be sure to dry any unused pellets, as they cannot be reused.

Dosage:

• 20-30 ml of NPO pellets per 100 liters of water, which can be slowly increased to up to 100 ml of NPO pellets per 100 liters of water.
• After a few days, the aquarium water may become slightly cloudy, but this usually disappears on its own after a few days.
• The process of nutrient decomposition also reduces the volume of the pellets.

Conclusion:

• The first nutrient reductions can be measured after approx. 10–21 days. After approx. 8–12 weeks at the latest, significant nutrient reductions should be visible in the animals.
• You can ignore any sudden increases or unusually high readings in the meantime – pellet filtration can influence water tests under certain circumstances and temporarily lead to incorrect readings.
• Within 3–4 months at the latest, the water values will stabilize at a low level. Fauna Marin Redu Pellets ensure a slow and even reduction of phosphate and nitrate. The further the values in the system drop, the slower the filter works.
• Due to their high density, NPO Redupellets are broken down very slowly, meaning you need significantly fewer pellets than with most other products on the market.
• Replenish broken-down pellets regularly. To do this, follow the same procedure as for restarting and water the pellets before use.
