ATI® Carbon Super Pure is a next-generation, acid-washed, high-performance activated carbon that enables uncompromising yet gentle pollutant removal. ATI® Carbon Super Pure boasts superior performance properties and, compared to other activated carbons used in the aquarium sector, has up to three times the binding capacity for harmful coral toxins, organic substances, medications, and other inhibitors. Carbon Super Pure is a high-purity, high-quality product with minimal ash content that releases virtually no silicate, phosphate or unwanted metals. Carbon Super Pure has a granule sizes of 1.2 to 2.4 mm and is extremely economical, requiring only 15-25 grams (30-50 ml) per 100 liters (25 gal) of aquarium water. With Carbon Super Pure, you achieve crystal-clear, clean water in which your aquarium inhabitants thrive.

Application:

• 15-25 grams (30-50 ml / 0.5-1 oz) per 100 liters (25 gal) of aquarium water

• sufficient for up to 13,000 liters

• Soak in RO water for 10 minutes before use
• Carbon Super Pure is best used in a media reactor with gentle flow. The material should be suspended but not disturbed.

• Surface area 1,050 m²/g: The larger the surface area, the more contaminants or pollutants the activated carbon can absorb. With over 1,000 m²/g, Carbon Super Pure has a surface area three times larger than many standard activated carbons for aquariums.
• Iodine value approx. 1,020 mg/g: The iodine value is a measure of the activated carbon's absorption capacity for small molecules such as iodine. The higher the value, the more small molecules can be adsorbed. Values ​​above 800 mg/g are considered very good in reef aquariums.
• Methylene blue adsorption value approximately 130 ml/g: Methylene blue adsorption is an indicator of the activated carbon's ability to adsorb larger molecules such as methylene blue or organic contaminants. 130 ml/g is considered a very good value.
• Acid washing: Carbon Super Pure is acid washed, which reduces inorganic contaminants, metals, phosphates, and silicates. This increases the purity of the activated carbon and improves its adsorption capacity.
• Minimal ash content: Ash is the main source of silicate in activated carbons and cannot be sufficiently reduced by acid washing alone. The ash content of typical activated carbons for water treatment ranges up to 15%. Carbon Super Pure uses a special raw material that achieves a minimal ash content of less than 1%, resulting in virtually no silicate entering the aquarium water.
• High mechanical strength: With a ball-pan hardness of 97%, Carbon Super Pure has an extremely high degree of hardness and therefore minimal abrasion.
