The Deltec NF Sulfur-Nitrate Filter is a filter in which special bacteria (Thiobacillus denitrificans) break down nitrate.

Although it takes quite a long time for the filter to become fully functional, operation is simple as long as the water supply is carefully regulated.

The effluent from the Deltec NF Sulfur Nitrate Filter has a low pH and should be passed through a separate container filled with ROWA®lith C or a similar medium.
