Tunze Macro Algae Reactor MAR 3181 (3181.000)
Many marine aquarists cultivate Chaetomorpha thread algae to remove nitrates and phosphates from the aquatic environment. Simply harvesting a handful of algae from time to time is all that is needed to maintain the biological balance in the aquarium – an excellent, cost-effective and simple alternative to many chemicals or resins!
TUNZE® has developed two special reactors for this purpose, which can be fitted into any filter tank or placed next to an aquarium without external filtration. The water circulation within the reactor ensures the algae culture is agitated and reduces the number of light sources required.
