Advantages of granulated saltwater food

• Sinks quickly and precisely → perfect for medium/bottom feeders (e.g., surgeonfish, seaweed eaters, bannerfish)
• Higher nutrient density and better utilization (mostly extruded/soft)

Advantages of flake food for saltwater

• Stays in the water column longer → ideal for surface and mid-level feeders (e.g., angelfish, dwarf angelfish, many colorful coral fish)
• Spreads well in the tank → also reaches shy or hidden species - Disadvantage: often goes overboard into the drain shaft
