Innovative infrared heating technology with a large ceramic surface area
The Ceramic InfraRed Heater utilizes innovative infrared heating technology and a large, stable ceramic surface. This allows heat to be distributed over a particularly large area of the aquarium, promoting even heating of the water.
Aqua Medic states that efficiency can be increased by up to 30% compared to conventional heating methods.
Even Heat Distribution
The combination of infrared technology and the large ceramic surface area enables even heat distribution. As a result, the heat is not concentrated solely in a small area immediately adjacent to the heater.
Especially in larger aquariums and complex setups, this form of heat distribution offers significant advantages for achieving the most even temperature distribution possible throughout the entire aquarium.
For Freshwater and Saltwater
The Ceramic InfraRed Heater is suitable for both freshwater and saltwater aquariums. Its flat design allows for space-saving installation in the aquarium or filter area. The heater should be positioned in an area with good water flow.
For safe operation, the unit features built-in dry-run protection. A suction cup mount is included.
Temperature control required
The Ceramic InfraRed Heater must always be used in conjunction with an external temperature controller. Aqua Medic recommends the optionally available T controller twin 2.0 for this purpose.
This allows you to precisely set the desired water temperature and control the heater accordingly based on temperature.
The Right Power for Every Aquarium
The Ceramic InfraRed Heater is available in five power ratings:
100 W: for aquariums from 100–300 L
300 W: for aquariums from 300–1,000 L
500 W: for aquariums from 1,000–1,500 L
800 W: for aquariums from 1,500–2,500 L
1,000 W: for aquariums from 2,000–3,000 L
The aquarium sizes listed are Aqua-Medic guidelines for closed aquariums at 25 °C. The actual heating requirement depends, among other factors, on room temperature, the aquarium cover, and heat loss from the specific aquarium.
