Function:
As the water level drops, the float lever also drops. When it reaches a certain angle, the float valve opens and water flows into the aquarium/filter tank until the float lever returns to the horizontal position.
A simple and reliable, purely mechanical function that is virtually trouble-free! - And precisely because this automatic refill system is straightforward and requires no electronics, it won’t break down even after years of use and is very durable! - So you’ll enjoy it for a long time!
Since the water comes from the reservoir—which should have a capacity of 10–40 liters (or more, depending on the aquarium size)—and is positioned above the water level in the aquarium or filter tank, the water flows slowly into the aquarium or filter tank by gravity, without the need for a pump. – In the aquarium cabinet, the reservoir can easily be positioned slightly above the level of the filter tank.
