NEWA Mirror UVC – UV-C Sterilizer for Marine & Freshwater Aquariums
The NEWA Mirror UVC is a powerful UV-C sterilizer for marine and freshwater aquariums, combining an intelligent design with highly efficient use of UV-C radiation.
At the heart of NEWA Mirror technology is a double, mirror-polished aluminium reflector. The UV-C radiation generated by the lamp is reflected within the irradiation chamber and redirected through the water flow multiple times. This makes particularly efficient use of the installed lamp power and provides a high UV-C dose in the treated water.
The water is guided through a highly UV-C-transparent quartz tube and passes very close to the UV-C lamp. The combination of the quartz tube, close proximity between lamp and water flow, and the double reflector ensures intensive and efficient UV-C treatment of the water.
Another design advantage is that the water has virtually no contact with plastic components exposed to intense UV-C radiation. The irradiation takes place within the dedicated quartz and reflector chamber.
UV-C radiation helps reduce suspended algae, bacteria and other microorganisms in the water, providing an effective way to support water hygiene without the use of chemicals.
Flexible Installation – Freestanding or Wall-Mounted
Thanks to its universal double mounting bracket, the NEWA Mirror UVC can be installed in different ways. It can be used as a freestanding unit or mounted on a wall, making it easy to integrate into a wide variety of aquarium and filtration setups.
The integrated flow control allows the water flow to be adjusted according to the desired UV-C treatment.
Safe and Easy Maintenance
Maintenance is designed to be quick and straightforward. An automatic safety switch switches off the UV-C lamp when the unit is opened, allowing the lamp to be replaced safely.
Practical lever locks provide quick access to the housing, while the integrated LED indicator continuously shows the operating status of the UV-C lamp.
Ideal for Marine and Freshwater Aquariums
The NEWA Mirror UVC is ideal for marine aquariums, reef aquariums and freshwater aquariums and can be easily integrated into existing filtration systems.
Its flexible installation options make it particularly suitable for aquarium setups where a conventional UV-C unit with a fixed installation position is not the best solution.
