What is TDS ?: Total Dissolved Solids, or "TDS" for short, is the number of particles in the water per million of water particles. This information is given in two different values. Either in PPM or in microsiemens (μS). The former is mainly used in the US and is therefore more widespread in osmosis plants. In Europe, on the other hand, the conductivity of the water is usually measured in μS. The conversion corresponds to about 1ppm = 1.56 μS. The Profi TDS measuring device from OsmoFresh, however, masters both values, which means that a conversion is no longer necessary.
