The revolutionary seawater concentrate that allows you to create seawater in seconds – ideal for water changes and new setups
ATI® Absolute Ocean is a revolutionary 8.3x seawater concentrate. It is ideal for water changes or new setups and, after the Pro salt mixes, represents the next evolution in the production of artificial seawater.
Absolute Ocean offers unmatched advantages in terms of accuracy, purity, and homogeneity compared to other applications:
- Just like natural seawater: High-precision ICP laboratory measurements ensure that all major and trace elements are precisely adjusted to make Absolute Ocean virtually identical to natural seawater. Even the lowest trace element concentrations in ppb (parts per billion) range, such as vanadium, are adjusted to near-natural levels. The following table shows a comparison of Absolute Ocean with natural seawater (at 35 PSU):

- Purity: Absolute Ocean is composed of pharmaceutically and analytically pure salts. It is therefore extremely pure and free from any impurities.
- Homogeneity: Due to its liquid and therefore completely homogeneous form, unwanted fluctuations, which can occur with salt mixes, are eliminated. ATI® Absolute Ocean is therefore superior to any conventional salt mix in terms of homogeneity.
- ICP quality controls: The production process is continuously monitored by the ATI® Lab. You can access the analysis of each batch via a QR code on the packaging and see the quality for yourself.
- Ready to use: Because Absolute Ocean is a liquid concentrate, there is no waiting time for the salt mix to dissolve. After appropriate dilution with reverse osmosis water, the prepared salt water is immediately clear and can be used directly. This saves time, and you can always produce fresh salt water in seconds.
- Proprietary recipe with only two starting solutions: The ATI® Absolute Ocean recipe with only two starting solutions is legally protected.
Application:
- It is best to use reverse osmosis water at room temperature with a conductivity of less than 5 µS/cm. We recommend using a reverse osmosis system with DI resin (e.g. ATI® MB Pro).
- When mixing, refer to the following table:

- Use a mixing container that can hold the desired amount of salt water
- Pour the required amount of reverse osmosis water into the container
- Add the required amounts of Absolute Ocean #1 and #2
- Once the prepared salt water is clear, it can be used immediately
Storage and Shelf Life Information
- Absolute Ocean has an unlimited shelf life.
- Absolute Ocean should be stored above 10°C (50°F).
- If stored below 10°C (50°F), crystals may form in Absolute Ocean #1. Before use, the crystals should be dissolved by gently heating them to approximately 45°C / 115°F (e.g. in a warm water bath).
