Aquaforest Hybrid Pro Salt – The Most Advanced Reef Salt
We present Hybrid Pro Salt – our most advanced and sophisticated reef salt to date.
For years we have observed that some reef aquariums thrive exceptionally well with natural seawater (NSW), while others perform best with pure laboratory-made salt. Our goal was to combine the advantages of both worlds. The result is a unique hybrid formula developed specifically for modern, probiotic reef aquarium methods.
Unique Hybrid Salt Formula
Our chemists and biologists analyzed water samples from thriving coral reefs in Egypt, Kenya, Indonesia, and the Fiji Islands. Using ICP testing, they created a precise blend that meets the needs of even the most demanding corals.
Because an aquarium is a closed system where elements are consumed at different rates, we have deliberately increased key trace elements such as strontium and iodine. This ensures greater long-term stability and balance.
What Makes Hybrid Pro Salt Special?
  • Hybrid Technology: Combines high-purity laboratory salt with natural sea salt flakes from the cleanest waters of the North Atlantic.
  • Probiotic Bacteria: A proprietary blend of probiotic bacteria that naturally reduces nitrate and phosphate levels while promoting vibrant colors and coral growth (often inhibited by elevated phosphate).
  • Enriched with Micro & Macro Elements: Fortified with premium amino acids and vitamins that support the immune system and natural metabolic processes of your reef inhabitants.
Hybrid Pro Salt creates water parameters very close to natural seawater, with the added benefit of active probiotic support for a healthy microbiological balance.
Dosage & Mixing Instructions
  • Recommended mix: 390 g Hybrid Pro Salt per 10 liters of RODI water
  • Water temperature: 24–25 °C (75–77 °F)
  • Target salinity: 33 ppt (1.025 S.G.)
  • Mix vigorously for approximately 15 minutes until fully dissolved. The salt water is ready to use immediately.
Storage Notes: Freshly mixed saltwater should ideally be used within 3 days. Store in a sealed container. If stored longer, check salinity before use. Always store dry salt in a cool, dark, and dry place.
Important Tips
  • For best probiotic performance, maintain dKH between 7.5 and 8.5. Higher or lower values may reduce bacterial activity.
  • When setting up a new aquarium, we recommend waiting 10–14 days after the water parameters have stabilized before adding the first fish and corals.
