Nyos QUANTUM® EQ Protein Skimmer – Smart Control & Maximum Efficiency
The new Nyos QUANTUM® EQ protein skimmer combines high-performance skimming with advanced smart control, delivering optimal water quality for modern reef aquariums.
Smart Control via Mobius™ & Apex Fusion
The QUANTUM® EQ can be fully controlled through the Mobius™ app, using the same intuitive interface as Ecotech Marine® and AquaIllumination® pumps and LED lighting. With the MXM Mobius™ Wireless Control Module, the skimmer can also be integrated into the Apex Fusion app by Neptune Systems®. Both apps are available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
Pre-Configured Templates for Easy Setup
To ensure simple and intuitive operation, Mobius™ offers several preset modes:

• Performance Mode: Pump power is set to 70%, allowing fine adjustments as needed
• Plankton Saving Mode: Reduces skimmer performance at night to protect naturally occurring plankton
• Nutrient Export Reduction Mode: Lowers skimmer output when nutrient levels in the aquarium are too low

Customizable Scenes
The QUANTUM® EQ can be integrated into custom Mobius™ scenes. For example, the skimmer can automatically reduce performance during feeding or water changes and return to its previous settings afterward.
Smart Safety Features
If a snail shell or debris blocks the intake, the pump automatically shuts down to allow the obstruction to be cleared. If an automatic restart is not possible, the system switches off completely, the integrated RGB LED flashes red, and a notification is sent via the app.
LED Color Code Indicator
An integrated RGB LED displays pump speed via a color-coded system and can also be used as a convenient light source for maintenance work inside the cabinet. This feature is legally protected.
Continuously Adjustable Performance
Pump speed can be adjusted seamlessly from 1–100%. Individual schedules can be programmed via the app to vary performance throughout the day.
Energy-Efficient 24V Pump Technology
The QUANTUM® EQ uses low-voltage, energy-efficient 24V pumps made in the EU. Thanks to intelligent control, the pump consumes up to 20% less energy while delivering up to 10% more performance compared to the non-adjustable QUANTUM® pump.
