ATI® ICP Element Selenium
High-purity solution to increase the single element selenium in the reef aquarium. Ideally suited to compensate for element deficiencies and for daily element supply.
Dosing instructions:
- 1ml per 100 liters increases the selenium content by 0.5μg/l
- Increase by a maximum of 0.5μg/l selenium (1ml/100l) per day
- The bottle contains 7,500μg selenium
Symptoms if the selenium content is too low
- Selenium proteins protect corals from oxidative stress at high light levels. If the selenium level is too low, oxidative protection is not provided (reduced light tolerance)
Causes of low selenium content
- Low quantities in the salt or trace element mixtures used. Selenium is often not used due to the low concentration
