ATI® Essentials SPS is a highly concentrated two part system for perfect growth, optimal metabolism, and pronounced distinctive coloration in SPS-dominated reef aquariums. Based on our experience from tens of thousands of ICP laboratory analyses, the formula has been continuously optimized and refined over the years, providing you with a state-of-the-art two part system. Other features include:
- Supply of all major elements: boron, bromine, calcium, fluorine, potassium, alkalinity, magnesium, sulfur, strontium
- Basic supply of the following essential trace elements without accumulation: cobalt, iron, iodine, lithium, manganese, molybdenum, nickel, rubidium, selenium, vanadium, zinc
- The purely inorganic KH component stabilizes the pH value at a higher level, which is particularly desirable for sensitive SPS corals
- The concentrations are adjusted so that equal amounts of both solutions can be dosed
- Individual adaptation to the needs of your aquarium to achieve a natural water composition and to avoid ion shift
- Ready to use and approximately 3.6 times more concentrated than a classic Balling two part. No more tedious preparation required.
ATI® Essentials SPS consists of the following two individual components:
#1 KH Complex
- Contains 27,000°dKH per 2,700ml (0.71gal) bottle (10,000°dKH/l)
- Contains the trace elements iron, iodine, selenium
- Contains the major elements fluorine and sulfur
- Stabilizes the pH value
#2 Calcium Complex
- Contains 200,000 mg calcium per 2,700ml (0.71gal) bottle (74,000 mg Ca/l)
- Contains the trace elements cobalt, iron, lithium, manganese, molybdenum, nickel, rubidium, vanadium, zinc
- Contains the major elements boron, bromine, potassium, magnesium, strontium
Dosage:
- Dose equal or very similar amounts of both solutions
- Guideline per solution: 5-10ml per 100l (26gal) per day
- The dosage should replace the daily consumption of alkalinity and calcium
- You can determine the daily consumption by regularly alkalinity and calcium (e.g., via ATI® Test Kits or ATI® ICP Lab Analyses).
Daily Alkalinity Consumption in °dKH | Daily Dosage Essentials SPS #1 KH Complex |
0.1 | 1ml/100l (26gal) |
0.5 | 5ml/100l (26gal) |
1 | 10ml/100l (26gal) |
Daily Calcium Consumption in mg/l (ppm) | Daily Dosage Essentials SPS #2 Calcium Complex |
1 | 1.4ml/100l (26gal) |
2.5 | 3.5ml/100l (26gal) |
5 | 7ml/100l (26gal) |
10 | 14ml/100l (26gal) |
Please Note:
- Due to the high concentration, crystals may form in the bottle of #1 KH Complex at low temperatures
- The crystals disappear by heating the bottle in a warm water bath to approx. 45°C (115°F) or by placing it on a radiator
- For cold operating temperatures (<20°C/<68°F), we recommend diluting the product 1:1 with RO water. To ensure the dosage amounts of #1 and #2 remain the same, #2 should also be diluted 1:1 with RO water
