Reef Zlements Z-Amino+
Z-AminoPlus is the "nutritional element" of the Reef Zlements method, a complete method that provides macro and trace elements along with "nutrients" and nutrition that your corals need to thrive.
Z-AminoPlus is a specially formulated blend of amino acids, carbohydrates and vitamins that works in synergy with Z-Complete and the Reef Zlements nutrient management line.
Our proprietary formula is designed to improve coral growth, colouration and overall health. Therefore, it is likely that reef dwellers who start using Z-AminoPlus as part of the Reef Zlements method will notice increased consumption of alkalinity, calcium and all other elements. It is therefore important that these parameters are closely monitored.
For better results, Z-AminoPlus should be dosed in an area with high flow and spread throughout the day. For ease of use, Z-AminoPlus can be dosed with a dosing pump and does not need to be refrigerated.
The recommended dosages of Z-AminoPlus are as follows for each stock level:
Light (Soft, LPS & SPS) - 1ml per 100l per day.
Medium (Soft, LPS & SPS) - 2ml per 100l per day
Heavy (Soft, LPS & SPS) - 4ml per 100l per day
The above dosage recommendations are the starting point for dosing and you can adjust the dosage amounts according to the specific needs of your reef.
Always monitor the visual appearance of your corals and the nitrate and phosphate levels of the aquarium water while using the nutrient management products and Z-AminoPlus.
If you notice a brown or grey biofilm on the live stones or the appearance of algae/cyanobacteria, this is a likely sign that you are overdosing or that your nutrient levels are not ideal.
Before making any adjustments, make sure that all nutrient levels are ideal.
