Iron is present in reefs all over the world and is one of the most important elements for all animals and plants in our aquariums. It plays an important role in the transport of oxygen in the blood of the animals.
It is known that iron has a positive effect in aquariums where macroalgae are present and improves the green tones.
Iron is consumed very quickly from the water in our aquariums. It is therefore important to check the iron content by ICP analysis and to ensure adequate levels and stability by dosing iron as needed.
A level of 0.4 µg/l is appropriate, especially if there is a refugium that consumes the iron very quickly.
Iron Zlement in conjunction with a regular testing procedure will allow any aquarist to correct iron levels to ensure that the levels in their aquarium water remain within the optimum range for their friends.
1ml of Iron Zlement will increase the iron concentration of 100 litres by 2 μg/l.
