In addition to nitrogen limitations, the occurrence of acute phosphorus limitations has become very common in recent years. On the one hand due to the good technical conditions to reduce the nutrient input into the aquarium water, on the other hand due to the generally very well growing corals, the phosphate content can quickly drop below the detection limit of our water tests. In addition, the excessive use of highly efficient phosphate adsorbers can very quickly lead to an acute phosphorus limitation, which is accompanied by the fact that especially stony corals become very bright, eventually bleach out completely and die.
With our phosphor+ we provide a nutrient solution that can be used to quickly and easily increase the phosphate content in marine and freshwater aquariums.
10 mL phosphor+ dosed to 100 L aquarium water increases the phosphate content by 0.1 mg/L (1 mL/100 L increases accordingly by 0.01 mg/L). Due to this favorable concentration of the solution, the phosphate content can be individually adjusted in each aquarium.
The basic prerequisite for the successful use of phosphor+ is the correct determination of the phosphate content in the aquarium. Here we recommend the Merck-based Rowa High Sensitivity Phosphate Test, the Salifert Phosphate Test or the Tropic Marin Phosphate Test.
