JBL ProAquaTest Refill GH total hardness (2410900)

Product no.: 140776

Healthy aquarium/healthy pond with near-natural conditions.
The correct water values in the aquarium/pond depend on the fish stocking and the plants present. Even if the water looks clear it can be polluted. With poor values, diseases or algae can form in the aquarium/pond. For a healthy aquarium/pond with near-natural conditions, regular control and adjustment of the water values is important.

For each water analysis JBL offers water tests in the form of quick tests or color change tests. These determine a specific value or several values simultaneously. With these water tests, algae problems can be detected and negative nitrate, nitrite, potassium, magnesium values, etc. can be determined.

Why test?
Depending on the origin and nature of the substrate, water can contain varying amounts of alkaline earth salts. As a rule, these are calcium and magnesium salts. The sum of calcium and magnesium ions represents the total hardness. Most fish and plants can be successfully maintained at a total hardness of approx. 8-20°dH. Nevertheless, one should strive to reduce excessively high total hardness values by taking appropriate measures.
