Instructions for Salifert Silikattest

For a hardness of more than 20 ° dKH, measurement errors occur. Normally, however, the hardness of the carbide is a good deal below the stated value

WARNING Keep out of the reach of children.

TEST PROCEDURE:

1.) Use the syringe to fill 1 ml of test water into the test vessel.

2.) Add 4 drops of the reagent from the Si-1. bottle and then carefully mix for 10 seconds. Leave for 5 minutes.

3.) Now dispense 4 drops of the reagent from the Si-2 bottle and gently mix the contents for 10 seconds. Leave for 1 minute.

4.) Then add a coated spoon of the powder Si-3 and mix for at least 20 seconds.

High sensitivity (0.03 - 3 ppm):

5.) Now lift the test tube in front of you and look through the side of the test vessel. Hold the color palette behind the test tube. Make sure the white area of ??the color palette is behind the liquid. A dye lying between two colors corresponds to a content of soluble silicate, which is intermediate therebetween.

Low sensitivity (0.15 -15 ppm):

5.) Place the opened test tube in front of the color chart in the white place and compare the colors from above. Read the corresponding content of dissolved silicone AND multiply the result of the color table by the factor. A coloring between two colors corresponds to a content of soluble silicone, which is intermediate there between.
