Reef Zlements Vanadium (V)
Vanadium is a metal found in reefs around the world in various oxidation states. It is an essential element for many marine animals as it is an enzymatic cofactor that aids many processes, especially in cellular metabolism.
This transition metal is extremely important for the colouration and growth of coral tissue and other organisms in the aquarium.
Vanadium is rapidly depleted from the water in our aquariums. Therefore, it is important to check vanadium levels by ICP analysis and to ensure adequate levels and stability by dosing vanadium as needed.
The vanadium concentration in seawater is about 1.8 μg/l.
Vanadium Zlement in conjunction with a regular testing procedure allows any aquarist to correct vanadium levels and ensure that vanadium levels in their aquarium water remain within the optimum range for their friends.
1ml of Vanadium Zlement will increase the vanadium concentration of 100 litres by 6 μg/l.
