DuplaMarin liquid solutions assure an optimum supply of vital minerals and trace elements to hard and soft corals, shells, serpulidae and haptophytes in seawater aquaria. The knowledge in seawater aquaristics gained in recent years has played an important part in the development of these products. All solutions are balanced in such a way that their combined use optimises the care of seawater aquaria. The skeletons of coral, algae, molluscs and many other invertebrates mainly consist of calcium and magnesium carbonates. As calcium and magnesium in aquarium water are constantly depleted by precipitation and by the formation of skeleton material by the various corals, their concentration and relation to each other in sea water aquaria changes continuously, causing an imbalance. Therefore the supply of minerals to coral reef aquaria and especially the regular replenishment of calcium and magnesium salts and hydrogen carbonates play a decisive role. Adding magnesium prevents a lack of magnesium, re-establishes the relation of the concentrations of the earth alkali metals, enhances the skeleton-building of corals and supports growth of haptophytes.

1,000 ml Magnesium Liquid contain 50,000 mg Mg and hydrogen carbonate. The optimum magnesium concentration in seawater is 1,350 mg/l.

Dosage: 10 ml per 100 l aquarium water twice a week. 1 bottle-cap of the 250 ml container equals 10 ml. The integrated dosage unit of the 500 ml and 1,000 ml containers equals 20 ml. Due to different numbers of consumers every seawater aquarium has its own
special requirements of calcium and magnesium. The dosage should always suit the demands and be checked regularly. In order to exclude reactions of the various elements with each other it is recommended to administer the different liquid solutions either at varying times or at different places of the aquarium.
