carbolite type p is a pelletized activated carbon based on hard coal, for professional use in freshwater and marine aquariums.
Features and characteristics:
- Highly activated for effective ion binding, chemical absorption & catalysis.
- Very high pore volume and high material surface area (approx. 1000 m²/g) for outstanding
binding capacities.
- Selected particle size (1.5-2.5 mm) for good water flow even when used in a closed filter bag.
- Rapid removal of yellows and toxins within 12-24 hours.
- Does not affect the pH value in seawater.
- No dissolution of phosphate.
Recommended use:
- Wash out in hot tap or osmosis water (>60°C) for about 1-2 minutes before use.
- Dosage quantities (dry mass):
- For long-term use (3-4 weeks): regular continuous use 50 g (100 mL) per 100 L.
- for removal of toxins or drug residues approx. 300 - 500 g per 100 L aquarium volume for 2-3 days
- The entire material should be replaced after a maximum application period of 4 weeks.
- Use in a fluidized bed filter is recommended.
