After their larval phase almost all surgeon fish become algea feeders. In an aquarium they therefore require predominantly plant based food.
In mixed aquariums surgeon fish often eat many animal proteins which can lead to obesity and a weak immune system.
A stress-free environment, good water quality and appropriate plant based feeding are the main requirements for thriving aquarium surgeon fish.
Naturefood SUPREME DOKTOR contains 6% spirulina as well as the natural softener and provider of vital substances aloe vera.

For the subsequent addition of vitamins (additives) we only use sunflower oil which contains the listed vitamins A, D3 and E.
