Highly concentrated solution for adding carbonate if there are deficits in the aquarium.
Carbon is an important macronutrient and a distinguishing characteristic of all organic compounds. In the water, inorganic carbon also acts as a pH buffer in the form of the carbonate hardness (KH). Carbonate is always an integral part of the calcium supply system in the aquarium and forms the basis for coral growth. The coral combines calcium with carbonates to form solid lime, calcium carbonate. It is found in the sea in concentration levels of 6 – 7 °dKH. We recommend a carbonate hardness in a reef aquarium between 6 – 9 °dKH.
